Paul McLaughlin
Snow
Why don't you come out?
why don't you come over here?
why don't you come out and paint me?
out by the burned shed
down by the old river dump
covering my head
with falling snow

It's been a long year
the marks are still fresh on us
our coats and our hats are hiding
in spring we'll see green
but now it's all gone to brown
you paint me a scene
of falling snow

Now that it's so quiet
now that it's just you and I
why don't you stay here and paint me?
up on this white stump
or by the soft broken cars
covering this dump
with falling snow

Not the colors of a victory
or the coloring of shame
but the covering of everything
then all things the same
I don't want it here forever
I don't want to bury deep
I only want a pause
a gentle winters sleep
snow
paint me snow
snow...
Full Demo from Target Studio; interesting tempo and sound; it's a snow song that will never be on a Christmas album.

I like it. You're right, this will not be on a Christmas album but perfect for plenty of mellow times throughout the year. Nice to hear bass and backup for you. You shouldn't have to do all the work.
